Rain, Coffee, Evergreens
My opinions on cities have always been mixed, in my mind I always picture the negative, smog, homelessness crisis, cramped, traffic, etc. While Seattle is not necessarily free from these problems, it did exceed my expectations in other ways. The proximity to the sea provides a fresh ocean breeze,along with fresh, delicious fish and seafood. The way this city integrates itself amongst the temperate rainforest backdrop is truly a beautiful sight. The main reason I have for visiting, however, is almost always the people.
A city without friends is the loneliest place on Earth.
My trip was accompanied by my friends, some I journeyed with from Utah, and others native to Washington. Some new faces, some old, but overall we had a blast. Highlights of the adventures we had were PAX West 2023, Pike’s Place, Katsu Burger (I recommend the curry burger), tidepools, and Dim Sum.
Overall, I had a lot of fun.
